After using Photoshop for UI design purposes for many years, you may finally want to switch to Sketch for UX design for apps and websites. Well, it may be going to be a wise decision. It may sound silly but a hard decision because Photoshop might be hard to leave. After getting Sketch app training in Delhi, we hope you will definitely love using it for UX design. Here are few of the reasons why it is dominating the UX industry.
Sketch community has a vast library of plugins. Some of the widely used plugins are “Asset Export for Android and iOS”, Dynamic Buttons, Fluid, Palettes etc. to make your work even smoother. There is a plugin for different needs and everyone.
There is no need to worry about screen density with Sketch. Simply create artboard in the size of the view, whether it is Samsung HD or Retina Display, for Android, Sketch will take care of the rest.
When creating a text field and filling it with more text, you either need to resize the text paragraph or make manual breaks on Photoshop. But it is not so in the case of Sketch. It creates a text box bigger.
In Sketch padding, bottom and top of text fields rely on the height of the line. For instance, text field with 20px font size and 30px line height along with 5px padding over the top and bottom. The same holds true in case of HTML. It is definitely a huge influence of vertical margins between elements above and under. So, Sketch removes all the guesswork about paddings and margins between text fields. You just have to copy and paste margins in Sketch and submit it to the developer.
You can easily define constraints to keep margins between inside groups, elements or art boards. If you improve the content (bigger image, more text etc.) and you define some constraints in advance, simply press update and your layout work well with the change.
You don’t have to rearrange elements after changing its size. If you like to check how design works on large screen, simply resize artboard, define margins right and left, and press update. You don’t have to resize the width of the element as it works automatically.
You can finally add symbols in symbols. Suppose you create an icon or button symbol and add it in another symbol. You can even scale them now and fill the image and text fields of each symbol with your own content. So, symbols become even handy and easy to use.
Though Photoshop has this feature, it is not so intuitive in them. You can easily handle text styles in Sketch. If you change a text property field with given style accidentally or purposefully, it couldn’t be applied on global style until it is reloaded in style. Hence, Sketch course for UX is best for you.
